Sealed Air Named First To Receive Colour-Logic Certification

Friday, October 30, 2015

Charlotte, NC – Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE: SEE), has been named as the first wide web flexographic printer to gain Colour-Logic certification. Sealed Air’s Cryovac® Graphics has also been named as a certified Colour-Logic Prepress House and will be producing the separations in-house.

Mark Geeves Colour-Logic Director of Sales and Marketing, announced the certification. “Production prints from Sealed Air were thoroughly evaluated in the Colour-Logic laboratory and were found to meet all criteria for certification,” said Geeves. “No other wide web flexographic printer has qualified to print the Process Metallic Colour System, and brand owners may now confidently turn to Sealed Air for packaging that sparkles with metallic special effects. This represents a major entry for Colour-Logic into the food packaging industry.”

According to Cryovac Graphics Marketing Manager Roxanne Baker, “The Colour-Logic Process Metallic Colour System provides a broader color palette that can be achieved by printing only 6 colours. This opens the gamut for designers to incorporate many striking metallic colours into a single design. In addition, the special effects and watermarks can be used as design techniques and provides opportunities to protect brands from counterfeiting. Sealed Air is excited about offering this new technology to help our customers’ brands stand out in their markets.”
