Sealed Air Corporation Donates to Toys for Tots
Charlotte, NC, 22 December 2015 – Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE: SEE) has collected almost 1,000 toys this holiday season for donation to the Toys for Tots programme. From coast to coast, twelve Sealed Air locations participated in the toy collection as a way to bring Christmas cheer to children in the communities where Sealed Air operates. The company is a 2015 National Corporate Donor to Toys for Tots.
For over 50 years, Toys for Tots has been the US Marine Corps’ premier community action programme. The Toys for Tots message of hope for the future has motivated youngsters to grow into responsible, productive and patriotic citizens. Toys for Tots not only benefits children, but also has a positive impact on communities, on businesses, on the Marine Corps and on the nation.
“Finding a present under the tree on Christmas morning is an experience every child deserves," said retired Marine Major Bill Grein, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "Sealed Air has certainly done more than its fair share to help us bring that joy to children whose families have suffered so much. This has been an especially difficult year to raise corporate funds and toy donations, so Sealed Air’s effort in support of the Marine Toys for Tots programmes nationwide has been a real godsend."
“The enthusiastic participation and donations given by Sealed Air employees shows how committed they are to the communities where they live and work,” said James Whaley, Vice President of Global Corporate Communications for Sealed Air and Chairman of the Sealed Air Veterans Network. “We are pleased to be able to partner with The United States Marine Corp Reserve with their signature programme to give less-fortunate children a holiday to remember.”
